Products & ServicesText MaterialsPanGlobal's Power Engineering Training Systems learning materials are the result of this multi-stakeholder collaboration. Power Engineering Training Systems' learning materials only exist through the approval of third-party certification bodies that approve both the content and level appropriateness of each learning object in meeting their standards. This defines learning pathways wherein professional development and mid-career upgrading needs can be clearly identified and acted upon. Before publication, our content must be validated as meeting or exceeding certification syllabi knowledge requirements. Then a review process is conducted by representatives of more than 40 post-secondary educators from across North America. Finally, our content must pass a review committee made up of practicing Power Engineers from various industries. Only after completing this exhaustive but collaborative development cycle is our content ready for publication and delivery to learners. Our Basic Products are text-based compilations of learning materials in a book format which follow and provide learners the applied knowledge necessary to successfully challenge candidacy examinations for Canada's National Power Engineering Certifications (5th Class, 4th Class, 3rd Class, 2nd Class and 1st Class). The value of these base materials is two-fold. In addition to being the standard study materials for the Power Engineering profession, custom content compilations have been recognized as appropriate for regional certifications as well as topic specific textbooks, custom designed for a single or group of educators. Online Learning ResourcesLearning Management System (LMS)We use the Moodle platform to deliver online learning support. Moodle is a full-featured, open source LMS offering full functionality to the instructor, including the ability to: monitor learner activity, create and review learner assessments, adjust content and media, and moderate online class discussion forums. Supplementary Media Resources & Learning ActivitiesMany learners find concepts easier to grasp when presented with alternate means of explanation. Based on instructor feedback, we have produced hundreds of supplementary media pieces (videos, animations, 3D images) to assist learner understanding. There are also dozens of Interactive Learning Activities available. Licensed Educators and Corporate trainers can choose which of these resources to apply in their learning solution, and can also add their own resources as appropriate. Assessment BanksPanGlobal content addresses over 2300 learning objectives at 5 levels of occupational knowledge. Each outcome is aligned to a number of assessment questions which are then validated by appropriate industry professionals. Some of this resource is available to learners as a self-assessment tool, but the majority of these questions are only accessible to instructors for formal examinations. And of course, instructors can add their own assessment questions. Continuous Training Units (CTU's)A number of jurisdictions have continuing educational requirements for their licensed professionals. The CTU is an ideal program to supply this training to your staff. Taken from our complete Body of Knowledge, the CTU offers an individual learning object complete with content, media and assessment which specifically targets the learning topic at the appropriate level. Ancillary Learning ProductsPanGlobal covers the Occupational Body of Knowledge with over 2300 learning objectives in almost 400 chapters at 5 distinct Certification Levels. Some learners will require additional assistance beyond this base content to master specific concepts or to gain proficiency in their calculation skills. Drawing on over a decade of recommendations from Educators, Certifying Bodies and Industry we have designed ancillary products to assist learners with specific but common challenges. Our ancillary learning materials contain content validated to the same degree as our materials directly adressing Body of Knowledge based Certifications. These include workbooks and occupational task logbooks. |
